Windows 8 sucks!
Why Windows 8 sucks? The answer is obvious its sucks! and this is my personal explanation.First the ‘Metro’ style sucks badly, it’s a damp shit which smells like rotten ammonia ~~~oush!!
If you are an IT expert who likes to try every software in the market
to know the best among the lot in order to make good software recommendation for institutions and enterprises, then Windows 8 sucks for you too, …. you’re really fuck up Bro!!.
After installing all my trial applications including the office 2010 and the new office 15; from adobe complex programs to compatible open source programs, I ended up to nearly 1 mile length of Windows 8 metro with applications randomly scattered along the line with no particular groupings. Unfortunately my notebook and desktop are not touch screen. The worst of all is my most preferred program (Word 2010) is at the end of the metro-list. Yes, i could have rearranged the item in the metro style however it’s boring and time consuming scrolling back and forth. So the question is where is the famous start button and menu? Back in the days of winXP to win7, the start menu groups applications neatly into their respective application folders and what a dummy user has to do is just type the name of application one wishes to launch into the start menu and voila!!!, there you go.
Thinking about touch screen notebook or desktop, it’s pretty rare how the arrangement would be like without the use of a mouse. For a desktop, how close should the monitor be to the face?, how high or low should it be to the shoulder? What will be the preferred and comfortable usage; sitting or standing?
Dropping the entire start menu concept and not making it an option and allowing a third party to make addins for this feature thereby increasing consumer cost of using a technology (just like apple has done; “making a super new phone with new connector so that i can charge them with a compatible adapter of an old one”) is totally the worst decision Microsoft has ever made in their life. No hard feeling third party folks.
The metro style looks great with tablet but not with desktop and notebooks. With tablet, the only sensible interactive input device is the finger (touch) and the metro is perfectly fit for that. :)
Secondly is the drop of aero glass for aero lite. OMG this aero lite makes me feel sleepy anytime i focus on it. I bought the most superb high spec computer with i7 processor, more than 8GB RAM, quality graphic and sound card that my pocket can afford hoping to get Windows 8 ribbon UI with aero glass. Unfortunately it’s not there!! :(.
Why don’t you make it an option while keeping aero lite as default in your narrowly attempt to save power. If aero glass consumes power then I will be using it at my own risk since its an optional feature and you (MS) have no cause to worry at all.
Finally, i think Microsoft is no longer the company that used to think about its users. They are now chasing after the money and fucking culture like apple. Windows 8 with metro style as a compulsory UI on desktop and notebook is the first step to collapse of Windows OS fantasies.
Cheer up, a better alternative will come soon.......................
it is a nice opportunity for the open source OS to take over the market.
